Before this Court are two sets of lawsuits by plaintiffs asserting claims related to their investments in four feeder funds (the “Funds”) founded and óperated by the Fairfield -Greenwich Group (“FGG”).1 The Funds, in turn, invested heavily in Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (“BMIS”), which, as is now well known, was a Ponzi scheme operated by Bernard Madoff (“Madoff’).
