The defendant in error presented a claim against the estate of her deceased mother for personal services, and recovered thereon both in the probate and district courts of Sumner county. The administrator brings the case here for review. The family formerly resided in Scotland, and consisted of George Gunn, his wife, and several children. Three of the adult children came to Kansas, and afterward, in October, 1883, the mother came, leaving her husband and the remaining children in Scotland.
