Petitioner Virgilio Samo, currently an inmate at Sullivan Correctional Facility in Fallsburg, New York, brings this petition for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. See Amended Petition Under 28 U.S.C. § 2254 for Writ of Habeas Corpus by a Person in State Custody, filed July 28, 2017 (Docket # 3) ("Pet.").
