The plaintiffs, who are citizens of the State of Michigan and are employees of the Gemmer Manufacturing Company Division of the defendant, Ross Gear and Tool Company, Inc., an Indiana corporation, are members of Local 80 of the International Union, United Automobile, Aircraft and Agricultural Implement Workers of America, UAW (AFL-CIO), hereinafter referred to as the “Union,” the bargaining representative for said employees.
