Mr. Sanchez was charged in a single-count indictment with using a counterfeit alien registration card in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1546(a). He pled guilty and was sentenced on May 29,1990. Judgment was entered on June 18, 1990. On June 7,1990, after sentencing but prior to entry of judgment, defendant filed a motion for a judicial recommendation against deportation [JRAD] pursuant to 8 U.S.C. § 1251(b)(2). 1 Service of the motion and supporting papers was made on the Immigration & Naturalization Service [INS] field office at Spokane, Washington that…
