In this civil action the jury returned a verdict against the defendants-appellants CIGNA Corporation and Marlene Graham, CIGNA’S head of security, for $377,500 in favor of the plaintiff-appellee Jackey B. Griffiths on his claims for retaliatory discharge under section 704(a) of Title VII, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-3(a), and section 5(d) of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (“PHRA”), Pa.Stat.Ann. tit. 43, § 955(d) (Supp.1992), and for malicious prosecution, under Pennsylvania common law.
