This is a class action in which the plaintiff class alleges that the defendants, Global Tel*Link Corporation ("Global"); Secur-Comm Corporation; Schlumberger Technology, Inc., ("Schlumberger"); and Talton Telecommunication Corporation ("Talton"), imposed time limitations on collect calls that originated from coin-operated telephones that it serviced in correctional institutions and that those limitations resulted in multiple connection fees, and that the conduct was not authorized by any tariff or other regulation of the Alabama Public Service Commission ("APSC").
