The plaintiff, Christopher Caruso, brought this action pursuant to General Statutes § 9-329a (a), 1 claiming that the defendant Santa Ayala, the Democratic registrar of voters for the city of Bridgeport (city), had violated certain election statutes before and during the September 11, 2007 Democratic primaiy for the office of the mayor of the city. 2 After an expedited hearing, the trial court rendered judgment for the defendants.
