After a jury trial in a District Court, the defendant was convicted of operating to endanger and operating after suspension of his license. His principal contention on appeal relates to a comment made by the judge in the presence of the jury while defense counsel was cross-examining a Commonwealth witness about her opinion of the defendant’s speed just before the collision.
