The defendant was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor in violation of section 11 — 501 of the Illinois Vehicle Code (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1973, ch. 95%, par. 11 — 501). While in custody, the defendant performed various coordination tasks at the request of sheriffs deputies, and an audio-visual recording was made of the defendant’s responses, pursuant to the prior written request of the State’s Attorney that all such interrogations be video-taped.
