(After stating the foregoing facts.) 1. Counsel for the relator, both in oral argument and in his brief filed in this court, conceded that, if there was a vacancy in the office of County Superintendent of Schools at the time the County Board of Education of Laurens County appointed Mrs. Anne S. Parker-son, the respondent, that such appointment was valid and she would be entitled to hold the office until her tenure was terminated in the manner provided by law.
