Jacob Weigel died on 17th July, 1863, and his wife, Sallie Weigel, opened his succession, in the parish of Jefferson, and qualified and gave bond as administratrix.

*50Upon her petition, the Recorder of the parish made an inventory of the effects and property, real and personal, belonging to the succession, which was filed and homologated on 4th September, 1863.
