Richard W. Zamore and Patricia Zamore, the husband and wife appellants, on August 15, 1973 brought suit against George D. Whitten, the appellee, in Superior Court, Cumberland County, to recover damages for the alleged breach by Whitten of a contract to purchase their seventy-five shares of stock in Walbridge Bros., (Wal-bridge), a Maine corporation, for the sum of $20,000.00. On April 1, 1975 the Zamores won a jury verdict in the amount of $10,-000.00, which the presiding Justice subsequently set aside on timely motion, ordering a new trial on all issues. At the second…
