Plaintiffs, appellees and cross-appellants, on behalf of themselves and other creditors of the West Side Trust and Savings Bank of Chicago, brought representative suits against former and final stockholders of the bank to enforce the liability imposed upon bank stockholders by section 6 of article 11 of the Illinois constitution. On March 4, 1933, Joseph P. Lewis filed his suit in the superior court of Cook county to enforce stockholders’ liability.
