The defendant, Webster Bank, appeals from the judgment of the trial court awarding the plaintiffs, Charles Ferrato, then a Hartford County deputy sheriff, and Hartford Fire Insurance Company, $87,131.56 in damages because Webster Bank’s predecessor in interest, Eagle Federal Savings Bank (Eagle Bank),1 failed to comply with a bank execution served pursuant to General Statutes § 52-367a.
