¶ 1 This appeal concerns the right to a jury trial in a municipal court action. The origins of this matter began when the City of Lafayette (City) charged Wendy Lasher Roalstad with violating its municipal ordinance regarding vicious animals. Roalstad requested a jury trial pursuant to section 16-10-109, C.R.9.2015. The municipal court denied the request. She appeals the district court's dismissal of her C.R.C.P. 106 and declaratory judgment action in which she challenged the municipal court's denial of her request for a jury trial.
