On October 29, 2014, plaintiffs Ken Stromborg, Bill Koonz, James Ludwig, Mark Tweedale, Dennis Wild, and Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (collectively, PEER) brought suit against the Fish and Wildlife Service and FWS Director Daniel M. Ashe (collectively, FWS) to challenge the Service’s extension of two depredation orders that authorize commercial freshwater aquaculture producers and states and tribes to kill double-crested cormorants.
