OPINION
LATTIMORE, Justice.
This is an action brought by H. Edward Downs (“Downs”) against Commonwealth Lloyds Insurance Company (“Commonwealth”) after its rejection of Downs’ claim on his casualty insurance policy. The jury found in Downs’ favor on his causes of action for: breach of the insurance contract; breach of the statutory and common law duty of good faith and fair dealing; violations of article 21.21 of the Texas Insurance Code; and violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices — Consumer Protection Act (“D.T.P.A.”).
