Levy, J.:

The plaintiff was incorporated'by special act of the Legislature to conduct a medical college for women. Subsequently, its powers were enlarged to include the maintenance of a hospital, and the Regents of the University of the State of New York became possessed of jurisdiction over it as if its charter had been granted by them. For many years it was the only institution in which women were afforded the opportunity to obtain a medical education.
