The land in controversy is 222 acres out of the E. S. Carver survey, 250 acres out of the L. C. Walker survey, and 160 acres out of the D. C. Manning survey, all lying adjacent to each other. On January 14, 1882, a suit was pending in the District Court of Tarrant County, in which J. M. Laws was plaintiff, A. G. Walker, Sr., A. G. Walker, Jr., Eliza Hedges, wife of Aaron Hedges; William W. Walker, a minor; Mary Calloway, wife of Leander Calloway; and E. A. Walker, wife of John G.
