The appellant pled guilty to the offense of felon in possession of a firearm on August 6,1986. The trial court suspended his sentence for three years. In November 1986 the appellant was placed on probation after he had violated a condition of his suspended sentence. From a revocation of the suspended sentence in January, 1987, comes this appeal.

The appellant’s first argument concerns the legality of his sentence. He argues first that the trial court could not suspend the execution of his sentence but could suspend imposition of the sentence, and that the trial court…
