COVINGTON, Judge.

Plaintiff, Peter Landis, was injured while lifting a piece of equipment, an “apple stacker”, with a Roust-A-Bout portable crane (RAB) manufactured by Sumner Manufacturing Company. Landis’ suit against Sumner was based upon strict liability for defective product design. The jury returned a verdict for Landis in the amount of $165,000.00. The trial court granted Sumner’s motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict and granted Sumner’s alternative motion for new trial on the ground that the verdict was against the weight of the evidence.
