This is an action of ejectment brought by the city of Plainfield against Price, to test the right of the defendant to the possession of a plot of ground which the plaintiffs allege was dedicated to the use of the public. The plot contains about three acres, and is represented upon a map marked as a “ Map of building lots in Plainfield, N. J.,” by a space, on the face of which is the word “ Park.” This space is also marked block “ Q,.” This map delineates a tract of ground covering about sixty-one acres.
