Contrary to his pleas, the appellant was convicted by a military judge sitting as a general court-martial of two specifications of assault consummated by a battery, disorderly conduct, and communicating a threat, in violation of Articles 128 and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice [hereinafter UCMJ], 10 U.S.C. §§ 928 and 934 (1982). The appellant was sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, confinement for eighteen months, and forfeiture of all pay and allowances for eighteen months.
