In this case, we will review the Maryland statute that addresses decisions about the disposition of the body of a deceased person — Maryland Code (1982, 2005 Repl. Vol., 2008 supp.), Health-General Article (“HG”), § 5-509 — in the context of a dispute among siblings regarding the proper burial place for their mother.
