Appellant engaged McKeefrey to move a safe. The latter sent his foreman, McKnight, appellee’s husband, and a helper, to do the work. The safe was on the seventh floor of appellant’s building and was to be taken thence to the ground floor by means of an elevator. Kemble, chief engineer of appellant, acted as the operator. When the elevator reached the lower floor, Kemble, at McKnight’s direction, placed it two inches below the level of that floor.
