Defendant William Friedrich, together with Helen Compelí, James Compelí, Charles Fleck, James Lucania, James Montana and Theodore Zahler, was indicted by the grand jury of the criminal court of Cook County for the crime of conspiracy to fraudulently obtain the assets of the estate of one Frank Rozanski. Helen Compelí and James Compelí testified for the State and all of the other defendants obtained a severance from each other. Upon Friedrich’s separate trial, the jury found him guilty and fixed his punishment at a fine of $2000. A writ of error has been issued to review the judgment of…
