CALABRESI, Circuit Judge:

Bruce Craig appeals from an order of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (Shira A. Scheind-lin, Judge) denying his petition to unseal the seventy-nine page transcript of the 1948 grand jury testimony of Harry Dexter White. Although the district court recognized that disclosure of grand jury materials under circumstances other than those specifically enumerated in Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 6(e)(3) is sometimes permissible, it nonetheless denied Craig’s petition.
