Plaintiffs-Appellants L. Clame Lander, Charles M. Droz, Julian Block, and Zelda Block brought a class action alleging that the Defendants Appellees Hartford Life & Annuity Insurance Company and Hartford Life Insurance Company (collectively referred to as ‘‘Hartford Life”) violated Connecticut statutory and common law through fraudulent representations in the marketing of variable annuity contracts.
