NEURAUTER, Judge:

Appellant was convicted, pursuant to his pleas, by a military judge sitting as a general court-martial of uttering worthless checks (forty-one specifications) in violation of Article 123a, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 923a (1982). The military judge sentenced him to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement for thirty months, and reduction to the grade of Private El.
