_JjThe plaintiff, Dorothy Lee Burandt, appeals the trial court’s granting of an exception of prematurity in favor of the defendants, HealthSouth Corporation and HealthSouth of New Orleans, Inc. (collectively “HealthSouth”), based upon its determination that the claims brought by Ms. Burandt sound in medical malpractice and, thus, require a prior medical review panel pursuant to the Louisiana Medical Malpractice Act (“LMMA”), La.
