KRAVITCH, Circuit Judge:
James Armando Card, a Florida prisoner sentenced to death, appeals from the district court’s denial of his petition for habe-as corpus. Card was convicted of robbery, kidnapping, and first degree murder in connection with the death of Janice Franklin, clerk of a Western Union office in Panama City, Florida. On the afternoon of June 3, 1981, the Western Union office was robbed of approximately $1200.
