This action has been tried before the court, a trial by jury having been waived. By stipulation, the question for determination is whether the facts set up in the answer are a defense. - The action is upon certain interest coupons from bonds issued by defendant, a municipal corporation of Missouri, to the St. Joseph Bridge Building Company, in payment of a subscription by the defendant for the capital stock of that company.
