This is an action to recover damages for personal injuries sustained by Mrs. McGregor. The trial resulted in a verdict and judgment in favor of the defendant in the court below, and the plaintiffs have appealed.

The defendant Gill was a livery-stable keeper in the city of Clarksville. In August, 1902, he was called upon by Mr. Tyler, of that city, who stated to him that his sister-in-law, Mrs. Draughon and her son, with a young lady companion, were upon a steamboat which was stranded in the river some thirty miles above Clarksville, and he asked the defendant…
