On September 2, 1934, approximately sixty bushels of wheat were stolen from a granary standing in a field some distance from the highway between Lewistown and Moore, in Fergus county. This wheat was the property of John Sampson. As a result of certain investigation made by the sheriff and Sampson, A. J. McWilliams and Ralph Bacon were charged with the crime of burglary and were brought to trial on July 13, 1935.
