This was an action by The German American State Bank against George S. Badders as maker and Thomas W. Andrews as endorser of a promissory note made by Badders in favor of Andrews, and endorsed by Andrews and sold by him to the plaintiff before maturity. A copy of the note was attached to the petition, and it was alleged that the following words, “Presentation, demand, protest and notice of protest waived,” preceded the signature of Andrews at the time of his endorsement.
