Lawrence Santos appeals from sentences on two convictions of manslaughter; both cases, having been tried *519in the court below and presented to us as one, will be so disposed of in this opinion.(a) The defendant and Kate Nadab, hereinafter called the deceased, conducted, at 2931 Wylie Avenue, Pittsburgh, a small store, which was connected by a swinging door with a sleeping chamber in the rear, and behind this was a kitchen.
