These cases were tried together before the same jury. Thomas Martin Lovvorn, an infant, was awarded a verdict and judgment against Richard B. Richardson, hereinafter called defendant, for $15,000 for personal injuries sustained when Lovvorn was struck by an automobile operated by defendant. Thomas R. Lovvorn, father of Thomas Martin Lovvorn, was awarded a verdict for $2,500 against Richardson for medical and hospital expenses incurred as a result of the injuries sustained by his son.
