An attorney who was admitted to practice law in this state twenty-seven years ago, one Stephen R. Perez, pled guilty in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, and was thus convicted on June 17, 1987 of making false statements to influence the action of a federally insured bank in violation of Title 18 U.S.C. § 1014.
