This case involves a claim by the plaintiff-appellee, Charles Lawrence, a retired attendance officer, that the defendant-appellant, board of education of School District No. 189 (board), wrongfully denied him payment of accumulated sick leave at the time of his retirement from the defendant on March 1, 1979.
