The subject of this appeal is an order entered by the circuit court of Cook County denying plaintiffs motion for a judgment notwithstanding the verdict on the issue of damages. The issue on appeal is whether the denial of plaintiff’s motion was proper.

On July 9, 1983, the plaintiff’s father, Louis Iacovelli, who is now deceased, opened a money market account with First Security Trust and Savings Bank (First Security).
