OPINION

PEEPLES, Justice.

Diane Roberts sued Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital and Dr. Peter Weston for negligence and battery. The hospital moved for summary judgment on the *143grounds that the claim was barred by limitations and that it had no duty to obtain Roberts’ informed consent. The trial court granted the motion and ordered a severance. Roberts argues that summary judgment was not authorized on the grounds urged in the motion. We reverse and remand.
