We granted discretionary cross appeals by two employers and their respective insurers against the claimant and each other in this workers’ compensation case. The specific facts found by the administrative law judge (ALJ), which are not challenged on appeal, are that the claimant Stephens sustained a back injury in 1972 while working for Beers Construction Company (Beers), but was released to return to normal work duties in 1976.
