Affirming.

The appellee, John I. Linn, brought this suit to recover for the loss of his eye under' a policy of insurance issued by the appellant, Continental Casualty Company. The policy provided for payment of- $1,000' during the first year of its life for injuries “effected solely and independently of all other causes by the happening of an external, violent and purely accidental event.” Each annual renewal of the policy added 5 per cent, to the indemnities payable, and, at the time appellee sustained the accident, the indemnity provided for such…
