The Monona-Harrison Drainage District is a large district located in the two counties comprising its name. It was established in 1904. The main ditch extends in a general north and south direction about a half mile west of, and about parallel to the Little Sioux River, until they empty into the Missouri River to the south and west in Harrison county. It is under the supervision of a board of trustees. Hogue Creek is a natural stream running about due west from the hills on the east in Monona county and emptying into the Little Sioux River a short distance north of the Harrison county line.…
