Following a bench trial, defendant was found guilty of murder, armed robbery, and unlawful possession of weapons in violation of sections 9 — 1, 9 — 1(a)(2), 9 — 1(a)(3), 18 — 2, and 24 — 1(a)(7) of the Criminal Code (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1969, ch. 38, pars. 9 — 1, 9 — 1(a)(2), 9 — 1(a)(3), 18 — 2, and 24 — 1(a) (7)) and was sentenced to a term of 25 to 80 years.
