Upon his application, two life insurance policies, each for $5000, were issued by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, on April 3, 1925, to Michael Fendler, in which his wife, Esther Fendler, was named as beneficiary. By the terms of the policies the right was reserved to the insured, Michael Fendler, to change the beneficiary. On September 1, 1927, the insured changed the beneficiary naming his sister Josephine Roy as beneficiary. Fendler died February 26, 1929.
