Defendant ShopRite of Englewood & Associates, Inc. (ShopRite) appeals from an order entered on August 4, 2006 denying defendant’s motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict (JNOV), or alternatively, for a new trial. The verdict had been rendered by a jury on June 16, 2006, finding defendant negligent and awarding plaintiff $876,000 in damages.
