The principal question on this appeal is whether Clayton Pickett, who had resided with his wife and five children in the town of Cleveland in Jackson county and had a legal settlement there until they moved on April 27, 1933, to the town of Chetek in Barron county, lost that settlement by living for one year in the town of Chetek without being supported as a pauper. The proof in the record establishes that as a result of an injury, Clayton Pickett had become physically unable to work, and that he and his family were without means of support.
