The plaintiff brought this action in the Superior Court to enjoin the general treasurer from making further payments of state funds to retired members of the Rhode Island Legislature who are currently receiving benefits through a pension system 1 which the plaintiff claims is in violation of specific limitations placed on legislators’ compensation set forth in art.
